Tolu Osemwegie. MS, LPC, CRC

Life Coach and Counselor

Tolu is a life coach, licensed professional counselor, and certified rehabilitation counselor who passionately provides a supportive, encouraging, and hope-filled space for her clients to address their areas of concern. Her naturally warm, nurturing approach puts her clients at ease, making it easy to get to the deep places that need attention.

Her faith centered on Jesus Christ and her professional background in Rehabilitation Counseling guide Tolu in providing a comprehensive experience for her clients.

Tolu aims to understand her clients' challenges within the framework of their lives instead of categorizing them with mental disorders. She customizes her approach based on her client's needs and circumstances. Tolu does not favor any specific therapeutic method but instead incorporates suitable counseling techniques to suit her client's needs. She recently completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to expand the resources available to her when supporting her clients.

Tolu assists clients in practicing healthy coping strategies, changing attitudes, modifying behavior, and altering their lifestyles. She helps clients to build on their strengths and achieve the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. Throughout this healing journey, her clients experience relief from pressures, stressors, anxiety, and pain. Tolu encourages and empowers her clients to create the necessary changes, emphasizing that change is not magic and is not usually a quick fix. However, she assures clients that change will come, and they will receive her support throughout the process.

Tolu has extensive experience in counseling and coaching individuals dealing with trauma, grief, career and life direction, spiritual development, disabilities, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, identity, and behavior disorders.

Her coaching and counseling sessions are conducted through video/telehealth. Online therapy has been proven to be as effective as traditional therapy. It offers convenience and flexibility, saving time on commuting to and from appointments. Many people feel comfortable in their own space, which can reduce anxiety and help them feel more open and vulnerable during sessions.
