It focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. The way each cause presents itself depends on the individual’s genes, environment, and lifestyle.
Functional medicine uses different methods to address the cause of any particular disease process.
Finding and treating what exactly is causing a specific problem or disease will lead to its getting better or complete resolution.

Dr. Joan is the mother of 5 grown kids, a daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She loves listening to music, dancing, reading, singing, and playing the piano and guitar. She is active in her home church.

Appointments are 30 minutes long. I will not prescribe any controlled substances.

Session fees will be determined and communicated to you before our first session. Payment will be due each time we meet. I do not accept insurance. You will need to pay out of pocket for each session.

If you do not attend your scheduled appointment or notify me at least 24 hours before the cancellation, you will be required to pay the total session cost. Emergencies are an exception to this policy. This policy applies to all services.
